What can I say about this day? When the bride asks what dates you’re available and they’ll work round me – it’s always a little bit humbling!
With dates sorted & their venues booked this wonderful day unfolded. From capturing Lindsay & her girls getting ready at home with, it set the tone for a relaxed, chilled and beautifully personal day.
Lindsay’s gown was ordered from an Australian company and flown over, a decadent pale blue skirt, with a white top, vintage jewellery, white doc marten boots & her lego bouquet – we were ready for the day! Along with a surprise denim jacket that she had embroidered with her new name in Mario font and hand sewn character patches from some of their favourite films (R2D2 & C3PO). Tony opted for a trouser & waistcoat combination, along with a summer Panama hat – looking very dapper!
St Albans registry office was packed full of hers & Tony’s family & friends, full of smiling faces, all excited to see these two tie the knot – which the did! We took family & friend photos in the garden of the registry office on a warm summer day & then we had a strol;l back into the City centre to their reception venue.
We took full advantage of various locations on the way back for some impromptu portraits from hand painted murals & a huge jammy dodger picture & a stop off for a quick beer from a local corner store! There were toots of horns, cheers & plenty of well wishes from strangers in cars & on foot – it was so heart warming to see the love for them from complete strangers.
Back to the Peahen for drinks, speeches dinner & cake cutting!
